About the Realtors Association:

TheReal Estate Association of St. Lucia was established in 2009 and is currently headed by its newly elected president Heather Floissac.  It is a St. Lucia single-industrytrade association that represents over 30 real estate brokers, agents and salespeople, working through approximately 30 real estate agencies across St. Lucia. A Real Estate Agent may become a member by applying either by email or by filling out a form which is located on the association’s website. Once we have received your application, along with the required documentation, the board will review your details and render a decision about your application.

Benefits of becoming a member of the St. Lucia Realtors Association?

A. Uniformity

Our aim is to make sure that all agents are providing the same high quality of service across the island.

B. Certification – Licences

We have been strongly encouraged by the ECCB, to organize the association because of the significant value of real estate financed by the banks. The goal is to have all agents licensed to practise real estate in St. Lucia.  It is not a matter of if this will happen, but when it will happen. The association is currently in talks with the relevant Government Officials, with strides made toward the passing of the legislation. After the legislation has been formalized, licenses will be issued to all members who can then operate. Without legislation no association can operate effectively. This will raise the confidence level of clients who want to deal with agents knowing that there is recourse if they are not given professional service.

  C. Networking

Share leads and exponentially increase your sales opportunities by 1) getting access to exclusive content from The Association and 2) co-broking with other active agents to close more deals. Additionally share information on service providers, and other industry partners.

    D.   Mediate

A key responsibility of The Association is to offer unbiased mediation for member disputes when needed to help achieve fair and amicable outcomes in an effort to avert the cost and toll of formal litigation.

     E. Exposure

All registered members are listed on The Association’s website. Some members tend to only work with other members of the association to avoid conflict. Internationally, customers are used to collaborating with Realtors who are part of a structured organization. It gives them more confidence in doing business with a registered/current member; they feel more comfortable that if an issue arises, there will be some sort of recourse. It also makes your business attract more serious clients, and your earning potential will also increase as these clients choose to do business with a company that is associated with a recognised, officially registered body. Also, the Association encourages members to list properties for free on The Associations website.

For more information on membership please log onto our website www.slurealtorsassociation.com/forms/  and complete the application form online, or email us at [email protected] and we will send you an application form.
