A real estate agent is a REALTOR® when he or she is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, THE REALTORS® ASSOCIATION ST LUCIA LTD –St Lucia’s ONLY professional association.
The term REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark that identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the THE REALTORS® ASSOCIATION ST LUCIA LTD and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.
The Realtors’ Association (Saint Lucia) Ltd. is a non-profit organization incorporated in October 2009. Its primary aim is to assist the growth of the industry by ensuring that real estate practitioners adhere to the highest business and ethical standards. Membership is open to all real estate brokers, agents, valuers or property managers who are actively engaged in the industry. Developers and related businesses may also seek associate membership.
REALTORS® are pledged to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Working for America’s property owners, the National Association provides a facility for professional development, research and exchange of information among its members and to the public and government for the purpose of preserving the free enterprise system and the right to own real property.
